Crane Beach is a 1,234-acre (4.99 km2) of conservation and recreation property located in Ipswich, Massachusetts. It consists of 6 km long sandy beach front, dunes, and a seaside slope of pine forest. Five and a half miles of hiking trails through the dunes and forest are accessible from the beachfront. 

The parking facilities are Parking Permit Sticker Program or must get early to find a place and can be pricey $25 on weekends. With your parking sticker, you park for no additional charge at Crane Beach all day, every day, for one full year.

It is the best family friendly beach. Enjoying one of the finest beaches and outdoor recreation destinations on the East Coast . Crane Beach is one of the favorite beaches with its ocean-loving public for generations with clean, inviting water, miles of shoreline, and charming views. It provides lots of fun such as take a refreshing plunge, play in the sand, or just soak up the sun. It has been nationally recognized for its successful shorebird protection program.

During summer season the most important thing is lifeguards and rangers (beach keepers) , also many facilities are available such as bike rack, refreshment bar, bathhouses, restrooms, showers, changing facilities, picnic tables, Crane Beach Store, drinking water fountains (located outside the bathhouses), information kiosk, transportation for mobility-impaired and challenged visitors. Off-season facilities such as portable toilets (located outside bathhouses).

Crane Beach is “The Trustees of Reservations” and one of its most significant natural landscapes. People gathered here year-round to play and relax in this magnificent place. Crane Beach continues to be a welcoming, comfortable, and healthy environment for all visitors – including dogs and their owners. Open year-round, daily from 8am to sunset
